Auryn Youth Association was born in November 2001 with the aim of creating spaces, possibilities and educative and spare time alternatives for children, teenagers, young and aged people in León, mainly in La Lastra neighbourhood. The Asociation works in the field of the prevention, education in leisure time, education in human rights, entertainment through theatre, intercultural and environmental education, sport, youth entertainment and sociocultural development with our own entity and educative style. 

AIM

• Keep an intervention of community development and socioeducative intervention with childhood, adolescence and youth, focussing on teenagers on risk situations of social exclusion, offering a qualified service of prevention and education in spare time and sociocultural entertainment from our own educative style which bets on interculturality, the equality of opportunities and the working on net with nearby entities and with those in other countries, specially at a european level.

VISION

• Being a reference association for the neighbourhood, aspiring to the social transformation through socio-educative action and critical and creative analysis of reality
• Keeping a well balanced development which allows us to incorporate new people, members and volunteers, more working people and participants, as well as obtaining more support from the side of public administration and the social environment.
• Involvement. Wish of actively intervening in the social and educative needs emerging with people on a situation of social exclusion
• Interculturality. Knowledge, respect and acceptance of the cultural plurality; as well as the ability of incorporating every person with its own particularities in socio-educative processes.
• Participation. Equal intervention of all the involved people in the reflexions, thoughts, decission making and actions in all the different areas.
